Evening Walk

La Perla
Walked La Playa Ropa last evening and enjoyed the lights along the way.  We were walking along and looked down in the sand to see a small child who had dug a deep hole and was sitting in it up to his head. Yes, the parents were somewhat near by.  La Perla restaurant is open in the evenings and you can sit at a table in the sand and just relax to the gentle breeze and sound of the waves and enjoy a quiet meal. We are winding down, only 6 sleeps left.

  1. Wow!! Just six more days! It seems like you were just getting ready to head south about a week ago. This seems to be one of the many unusual aspects of aging... everything in life speeds up, even as we slow down! Must be old age -- we're finally learning to relax and rest. The more we relax, the faster everyone else seems to go, but "everyone else" is younger! Retirement helps immensely, as deadlines, projects, and imminently pressing responsibilities are no longer on our radar. For others -- as it was for us -- life is a big, crowded (competitive) rat race, designed to steal peace and pit people against each other for survival and/or advancement. I think most people are probably just trying to survive -- pay the bills, keep their head together and not go backwards, and are not even aware of the pressures they live with. Your post today sounds like an apt description of "the last lap." Ha! Something like, "We are winding down, only a short time left. Finally the finish line is coming into view, and we don't have to do this much longer!!"
