Inside the Mercado, you can buy just about everything as you wonder around the various booths. This lady is selling fresh "Pan". Not a place where Nancy would shop. The feather duster is to keep away the flies. No, we don't buy our fresh bread from this Panaderia.
"Not a place where Nancy would shop." Funny comment! Nancy's a smart lady, as one never knows where those flies have been. I'd rather not think about it, and instead just stop eating "pan" from the open-air market. The more I learn about biology and physics, the clearer it becomes that much of our life-experience is determined at bacterial, viral, atomic and sub-atomic levels. That said, perhaps, we'd all be healthier if we did our grocery shopping using the Periodic Table in conjunction with known human deficiencies. There is a fairly recent book titled, Grain Brain, that claims brain shrinkage/deterioration is caused by eating modern day (versus ancient) grains (breads, cakes, pastries, pasta). Interestingly, there appears to be a similarity between diet and religion in these last days! I mean: Paul warns against the day when people would flock to teachers who "tickle their ears," and hold a "form of godliness, but deny its power." Likewise, people flock to comfort foods, and fill themselves with calories low in nutrition. Sometimes you can find both of these in the same place - one stop shopping!
