Meet Rose

Rose
Rose!  She is one of the dear kids at the Morelia Orphanage, Irekani (to live).  Rose faces many difficulties in the future due to some physical issues.  Right now she doesn't know that, she is just a sweet and loving kid.  She didn't let our language barrier stop her from talking to me and made me sit with her as though she has known me all her life.  She clung to me and let me experience the pure innocence of a child. Rose is special, and I know that God sees her as "Special".

  1. Thanks for sending these photos from the Irekani Home! We have only had indirect contact with Sandra, nothing like this. It confirms the importance of the work she's doing. The other day, I sent a photo to mom with the following comment: "Not everything in the world is ugly, painful and corrupt. There are aspects that are breathtakingly right. Nevertheless, something really awful must have happened long ago... at least that's how things appear to me." (Privations, 312). The photo of Rose, along with your short description, contains both elements, "something painful, and something right."
