Poco a poco, the new kitchen at the Children's Home is shaping up. Counter-tops are going down, tile is being set, plumbing is nearly complete and you can see a new kitchen if you just imagine. Yesterday, a worker asked me to hold a piece of sheetrock while he screwed it in, so now I can say that I helped. Click on Image to enlarge.

I can't help but compare modern American kitchens with this remodel! It looks so small for what the kitchen needs to produce. Then again, they do get to use the great outdoors! It just shows that the greater resources include ingenuity and grateful attitudes. It's nice to see this success story unfolding, and it restores me somewhat (Earlier this morning, I made the mistake of looking at the news). On another note -- you'll find this hard to believe -- the temperature in Fairview yesterday was near 68 degrees! Unbelievable for Feb 12th.
