Domingo por la mañana

Sunday Worship

On Sunday we met up with our Church family at Zihuatanejo Christian Fellowship.  We meet in the back of a small restaurant, Ita's. Not very much fanfare, under construction with cement and dirt floors.

On the way home we took a combi (small van taxi) for 15 pesos.  As we got on the combi, a street dog jumped on with a family.  I asked them if it was their dog and they said no.  Well it rode all the way down to where we get off and when the doors opened, it decided that it was his stop and jumped out.  It was just like it knew what it was doing.  Too funny.

  1. The story of the dog is about as funny as a story can get! The dog probably thinks it's a person, and if it really figured out the combi transportation, then this dog knows a lot. Of course, Mexicans eat dogs, so life is not as benign as it appears. Just reading your story makes me feel more relaxed, and I'd love to feel the cobbles of Zi's alleys under my feet (and a Bimbo's French Mocha in my hand).
