After taking thousands of photos in Zihuatanejo over the years, I began to wonder what to do with all of the digital bits on my hard drive. It's fun to go back and view them, but really what use is there to have so many pics? I could make a coffee table photo book. I have made calendars and planners with online book software. Cards are always fun to create. Of course this blog is a good place to show them. I wonder how many millions of stored photos are just sitting out there taking up space. Weebly offers free website software with limited features. So, I've been capturing some of my Zihua memories on a new site that I created: z-images.weebly.com Kind of fun to just let the images speak and provide a little flavor of the experience here.
Pages may take a little time to load, lots of pictures

Regarding photos: I've slowly adopted your protocol for picking up the best rock along the beach. "You can only keep one, Wasabe." You will find one beautiful stone but when you find a better stone, you put the first one back. The principal, as I'm applying it to my camera, means "Less is More" (another quote of yours). Instead of taking lots of photos, I'm spending much more time on fewer compositions but getting better results. There are probably some general lessons here, such as: Quantity is not more important than quality, Quantity without quality creates waste, More is not better - Better is better, etc. I'm also learning that good photography is a form of story-telling, which probably means creating memories and photography have a lot in common. I'm thinking of the treasure hunt you took Chad on when he was just a child, and how your "composition" created a kind of "video" for him to remember. Perhaps we do not even need a camera to make our best pictures! It seems to me that one objective we're after with children is to create a memorable moment, one that helps the child move forward in life, because what's true for us is/will also be true for them. I heard something sublime the other day, "Your beliefs are only as good as the foundation on which they're built, which is why you must learn about love, humility, faith, righteousness, intercession, prophecy, worship and light." I would like to apply this to photography and/or the creation of memorable moments.
